It is hard for me to think that the school year is half over and what great accomplishments we have made in such a short time! Here at school we are very busy preparing for the administration of the Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (PASS). The state and federal government use these tests as measures to determine if schools are making Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) toward academic
goals for all subgroups.
Teachers have been working together throughout the year to plan for instruction that addresses global thinking and lifelong learning. They are doing a great job of providing students with content and strategies designed to boost performance in reading, writing, and mathematics. All content areas have been working to enhance each child’s skills in these areas.
You can see that we have been very busy and will continue to provide your children with a high quality instructional program. As I have stated before communication is the key. Having each of you as a positive partner is the most effective way to ensure the success of every child! Please continue to keep in touch with questions, concerns, or suggestions.
