From the Principal
Welcome to Aaron Riley Rucker Middle School. On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to the start of the 2009-10 school year. A. R. Rucker is truly a wonderful learning community. We have a great deal to be proud of as we begin a new school year. Along with being named an "Exemplary Writing" school for the third consecutive term, we also received the covenant "Red Carpet" award for the second consecutive term. We now have our authorization as an International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme World school. Our dedicated teachers and staff work closely with our students in bringing a quality education to every child. With the implementation of single-gender classes our students will continue to consistently show improvement in all areas of academics while becoming involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. Our students are involved in excellent arts programs as well as after school sports. We are proud of our commitment to student achievement and look forward to future success. Please browse our web site to get a better understanding of our excellent programs at A. R. Rucker and please stop by to visit us. Phillip N. Mickles
