Principal
My name is Phillip Nakia Mickles and I am entering my second year as principal of A. R. Rucker Middle School. I grew up in Lancaster County and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1992. After graduating from Lancaster High School I attended West Virginia State College, where I played football for two years. I finished my undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina in 1997 with a bachelors degree in Science and Physical Education. I also received my Masters degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina in 2004, and Educational Specialist degree in Administration from the University of South Carolina in 2006. I am married to the former Rakeishea McGriff, who is the Lead Teacher at North Elementary. We have one son, Phillip Nakia Mickles, II and a baby girl, Sheridyn Olivia Mickles, born September 3, 2007.
